The fishing the past week out of the Los Suenos Marina is still good for mahi mahi and marlin. The are fishing 15-30 miles out and catching good numbers of mahi from 15-40 pounds…it also seems like almost everyone is getting a chance at a marlin.
Captain Brandon on the Fish Whistle took some folks out from North Carolina offshore and found a log with hundreds of mahi mahi under it. They caught 15 nice mahi and 1 blue marlin in the 250 pound range.
Captain Jeremy on the R&J took some fly fisherman out a few times the past week and those fly guys had a great trip. In 3 days they saw 6 marlin and caught 2 on the fly. They also caught a half dozen sailfish and more than 40 mahi mahi.
Captain RJ on the Predator went for a half day trip recently and caught 10 nice mahi mahi all over 25 pounds.
