Costa Rica has a high season (mid November – May), a green season (May – mid November) and a peak season (Christmas, New Years and Easter weeks).

The majority of people vacation in Costa Rica during high season, but for some travelers green season is the best time to enjoy Costa Rica tourism.

I live in Costa Rica and prefer green season. The weather is fine, the fishing is good, the prices for hotels, condos, vacation homes, charter boats and everything else is lower. If you are interested in saving some money or getting away from the crowds consider visiting Costa Rica during green season.
