Had a great time. We caught 6 sails last Tuesday but nothing else. Thanks for your references.
I have been meaning to write to you but as you know getting back home and back to work can be hectic! Every suggestion you made for us worked out great. The Parador was a great hotel and the service there was very good. We may look for a condo type next time but it was perfect for this trip. Jose who transferred us was pleasant and informative. And most importantly the fishing was good. (see pics below) Despite conditions we caught 2 sails the first day and one dorado. One Sail looked nearly 140 lbs. The Dorado was about 40 lbs and the captains suggestion of having it prepared at El Gran Escape was a good one. Day 2 we lost one Sail then caught a double which was fun. Day Three we caught 2 sails. We ended up going in a little early since one of party got seasick but there had not been too much afternoon bite anyway. Restaurants we liked in that area were defiantly Kapi Kapi and I think it was Agua Azul. We did eat in one BBQ place which was only ok. Thank you for all your guidance and help with our trip; we greatly appreciated it and will certainly mention you web site to anyone we know who wants to plan a Costa Rica trip. Jeanne and Steve
Trip was great, you can't guarantee sucees that's why it's called fishin and not catchin. We got two sails and the guys were great. The captain and his crew were totally professional and worked hard to find fish. I would definately recommend him and if you can send me his website I can link his and yours to our site as soon as it is up and running. We have a home in Esterillos that we rent out and try to give our clients suggestions on what to do and where to go in the area for their daily excursions.
We had an excellent time in CR and thank you so much for helping me at the last minute to get a second boat for 12/31. My son and I ended up on the 35’ with my brother-in-law (our fourth was sea sick all day – poor thing) and the other guys (5 of them) ended up on the 36’. We were 4 for 5 on sailfish and had one dorado bust into the spread but did not hook up. My son, my brother-in-law and I each caught our first lifetime sailfish – Noah my son caught 2. I have attached three pictures that you can feel free to publish if you like. The captain and mate on our boat were outstanding and the other guys were very pleased with the other crew. Thanks a million and I will be in touch the next time I am down there.
It was a great time. We caught two huge sailfish right off the bat and then had a few bites. We all had a blast and the captain and mate were great. Only thing I would change would be to start even earlier, maybe we could of caught more! good times though- Thanks again!
Meg and I had a great time. We boated a nice dolphin and Sail. The boat, captain and crew were all top notch. We had a few near misses as well, which is not unexpected.Hopefully, the fishing will pickup / be better next season.
