Fishing Report
Rain, Rain, Rain is the only way to describe the fishing in October. The weeks of heavy rain left the ocean muddy brown and full of debris. One Captain told me he couldn’t even put his bait in the water because there was so much garbage and debris. October is normally a slow month at the Charter Docks and the heavy rain didn’t help, so fishing reports for this month were few and far between.
Captain RJ on the “Predator” had several half day trips this month all with similar results…a few Dorado, a few Tuna and a few Roosterfish.
Captain Dave on the “Miss behavin” had similar luck during October. The Captain reported some big Roosterfish over in the Isla Tortuga area. The trips offshore produced good numbers of Dorado and Tuna.
Captain Lindor on the “Hoo’s up” took and a guy and his girlfriends out for a full day last week. They caught 3 big Dorado and 5 nice Tuna’s. The Captain said he had had good luck on Roosterfish in October despite the filthy water.
November Fishing Forecast
The fishing in November has to be better than the fishing we had in October. The rain will slow down and the water will clear up. Once the water clears the Sailfish and Marlin bite will return. Until then the boats that go out will continue to do good with Dorado, Tuna and Roosterfish.
