The fishing the first two weeks of May out of the Los Suenos Marina has been above average.  The sailfish bite has been steady in the normal hotspots and If the boats find a log or a good trash line they are catching mahi mahi, marlin and tuna.

I went out on Friday with some friends from Texas and we caught 10 sailfish before 1 pm and then spent the next few hours looking for logs and current lines.  We did find a couple good logs and we caught some small tuna and skip jack for live bait but the logs were not holding any mahi or marlin.

Captain Dana took a bachelor party out for a day offshore and they caught 6 sailfish and a nice blue marlin.

Captain James found a nice log and caught a bunch of 40 plus pound mahi mahi as well as a few sailfish off the log.

Captain Daniel found a nice log and caught 3 blue marlin…they caught some sailfish and mahi but when you catch 3 marlin in one day not many captains will care what else they caught.
