The Sail bite was red hot! A group caught 10 Sails total, including 3 Doubleheaders! All together they raised about 20 fish, 5 doubles, a triple, and a few singles and got about 18 bites, hooking about 15, but jumped off a few of them. It was a great day fishing!
Fun day inshore with a group today. A nice Broom-tail Grouper on a butterfly jig. 2 Cubera Snappers, 1 Mullet Snapper, 1 Sailfish and some other small stuff.
With the fishing as good as it has been lately, it’s a shame that more people are not down in Costa Rica getting in on the action. Water has cleared and the bill-fish action has been good since mid-April with some days boats raising more than 30 sails/day. Scattered marlin and a nice wave of big Dorado, catching 3-7/day.
Todays crew caught 10 Sails out of 18 or 19 bites. Plus a nice blue Marlin close to 400lb.
After a slow morning with only one Mahi bite which jumped off, the group got to experience some great fishing. They caught 14 sailfish out of about 20 bites from 12:30- 4 pm - Including 2 doubles!
