Tuesday, July 31st, 2012Today’s catch a nice Yellow fin about 150 on a popper and spinning gear, a few smaller ones and 1 for 2 on Sailfish.
Today’s catch a nice Yellow fin about 150 on a popper and spinning gear, a few smaller ones and 1 for 2 on Sailfish.
Killed around 12 or 15 Yellowfins in the 50 lb class, released 5 or 6 more. All 12 of the live baits got quickly eaten, and the rest on poppers. Also released 1 Sailfish in the morning.
Rough seas and storm on the way out, but worth it, catching 8 50 to 60lb Yellowfin tunas.
One more great day of fishing they had 5 Blue Marlin bite jump 2 off miss 1 and caught 2. Also had 8 Sailfish bites caught 4. Seems like the fishing is getting better everyday. These guys really wanted to catch one Bill and they ended up catching a lot more than they expected.
A few nice Tunas, and a couple Sail bites, but no Sails to the boat.
Today’s report is 2 Blue Marlin, 7 Sailfish, 1 Yellowfin Tuna about 80 lbs and 1 Mahi Mahi Why does everyone want to come down here in the winter for fishing, when it can be great year round?
Fished inshore, still a good bite happening, a few Roosters, some big Amberjacks, and a bunch of Jacks.
Another good inshore day with lots of action and variety. Mullet snappers, Cubera snappers, big Amberjacks, Yellowfin Tuna, Skipjacks, Bonitos, Roosterfish and other stuff.
