The fishing out of the Los Suenos Marina near Jaco Beach has been hit and miss. One day is good and the next a bit slow…I have not talked to anyone that has been skunked, so everyone is catching something.

Captain Bill on the Sailfish released 5 sailfish on Saturday. They fished at the corner.

Captain Dave on the Missbehavin had a decent sailfish day releasing 4 out by the corner.

I went out with some some friends on the Dragin Fly. We started at the 26 rock and it was slow. We ran farther south and Captain James found some spinner dolphin…about 500 of them. Over the next few hours we caught 7 tuna in the 30-60 pound range We kept 4 fish for sushi and tuna steaks and we released the others we could have easily caught 20 tuna had we stayed on them. We decided to start the troll home and hopefully pick up a sail or dorado. We did raise one sail but it was just a looker.

We had a few tuna virgins on the boat and the hard fighting tuna wore these boys out. I didn’t see any tears…but it was close 🙂

It was a fun day with good friends on a great boat…and to top it all of we caught some nice fish.
