Howdy from Costa Rica,

Sorry for the lack of reports the past few weeks but I have been working on the boat during the day and have been lazy at night plus there has not been many boats going out the past few weeks so there has not been much to report.

The weather has been nice, 85 degrees, partly sunny days with a nice breeze and some evening showers.

The fishing offshore has been hit or miss.  A slow day has been 1 or 2 sailfish and a mahi mahi or two.  A good day is 5 or 6 sailfish or maybe a marlin and some mahi mahi.

I heard Captain Glen on the 36′ Glastek picked up a couple marlin from a log offshore.  That’s the great thing about rainy season fishing…if you come across the right log or trash line you can have a great day of fishing.

The guys on the 32′ Maverick caught a 450# black marlin pulling live bait down by the “26” rock.  The “26” always seems to hold some nice black marlin if you have the patience.

I have been getting my boat ready for charters and doing lots of fun fishing out front of Los Suenos and we always catch roosterfish, snapper, grouper, jack, bonita and more…nothing very big but some fun light tackle action with cold beers and some friends.
