I went out with some friends on the 42′ Maverick yesterday and we had a pretty good day going 8 for 8 on sailfish with 3 mahi mahi for the fish box.  We fished 35 to 40 miles out with a handful of other boats and everyone seemed to be catching fish.

The guys that did not run so far also had luck the past few days.  The guys on the 32′ Maverick caught 6 sailfish and a striped marlin less than 30 miles out and the guys on the 38′ custom caught 8 sailfish and a couple mahi mahi…also less than 30 miles out.

The weather was nice, the seas were flat and It does seem like the sailfish bite is starting to come around.
