June 25, 2010 – tuna bite

I talked to a couple guys today at the Los Suenos marina and they did pretty good yesterday offshore.  They were about 30 miles out and they got into some good numbers of yellowfin tuna in the 30 to 40 pound range.

If the weather would cooperate we were going to go offshore and try our luck this weekend.

Tropical storm Alex near Belize seems to be changing our weather down here a little. When we get these storms in the Caribbean they tend to pull moisture from the Pacific coast of Costa Rica.  This usually results in grey skies and light showers for us sometimes all day long.
