Fish of the Month - Mahi-Mahi (Dorado)…
lots of big Dorado caught in November.

Generally caught 3-30 miles out. During the rainy season troll the trash/current lines with lures and ballyhoo. During the sunny season lots of big Dorado are caught while fishing for Sailfish…usually with a ballyhoo.
20 to 50 pound Dorado are common, 60 and 70 pounders are caught every month. We all believe there is a world record out there… a 70 pound Dorado is only a month or two away from being a 90 pounder.
World Record: 88 lbs. Exuma, Bahamas

Fish Report
Captain Kevin on the “Hoo’s your Daddy” caught and released 2 nice Blue Marlin and 1 Striped Marlin in November.
Captain Tim on the “NBC” caught some nice Dorado with the Robinsons from Nebraska. The father was 84 years old, a lifelong angler and had no problem handling his big Dorado.
Gary from Jaco caught and released a 10 pound Snook near the river mouth in Jaco the morning after a heavy rain. A week later he lost a 30 pound Snook from the same area. The little white feather jig did the trick.
Thanks for your time,
Bubba
