July 23, 2009 – Holy Mackerel little Brady!

The fishing the past week out of the Los Suenos Marina has been a repeat of the past couple weeks.

The boats going inshore are getting some roosterfish and jack…even on half day trips.

The boats doing some bottom type fishing are having some luck with wahoo, small mahi mahi, small yellowfin and a few jack.

There were some rumors around the marina about some bigger tuna offshore.  There are still some sailfish around and boats are getting 2 -3 on a full day.

This time of year if you can find a good log or trash line offshore then you can get some mahi mahi, tuna, wahoo and maybe a chance at a marlin.  One captain told me he found a homemade FAD floating down by the “26” rock and it was loaded withfish…they didn’t get a marlin but he said there had to be a couple around.

Congrats to Brady Jr…he caught a monster Mackerel  on the Disco Pirate yesterday while trolling a rapalla.  Brady was born in Costa Rica and has caught a couple nice fish on the Disco Pirate.  This Big Mack was Brady’s largest fish…so far.
