September 6, 2009 – Costa Rica bottom fishing

Captain RJ and my buddies took our 26′ SeaSwirl out today and went down to the “26” rock for some trolling and bottom fishing.  The trolling bite was a little slow in the morning with just a couple small yellowfin tuna so they stopped at the rock and dropped down a couple dead baits.  Within a couple minutes they hooked up a couple nice mullet snapper…the one in the pic above was about 27 pounds.  The other one was probably larger because it broke the hook and got off.  Later in the day they did some more trolling and caught a couple nice wahoo.
